We headed to Utah this year for Christmas again, and it was sooo cold and snowy! But we had a great time with family while we were there. Here is the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve after Santa had come. The balloons burying the presents add to the fun. And there was lots of fun to be had by the 15 kids as soon as they woke up Christmas morning. And craziness.

Owen must have been a good boy, because Santa brought Thomas the Train, among other things.

But before opening his gifts, he had to meticulously lay out the contents of his stocking.

Most of the kids went sledding on this vacant lot across the road.

Owen had fun sledding with his daddy. I had fun being outside only as long as necessary to get a few pictures. I am definitely not used to that cold any more.

Although we had a great time and enjoyed being with family and friends, we came home sick, tired, and worn out. Maybe a quiet Christmas at home will be in order for next year.

This was our first Christmas without family and it was actually quite nice. It was much less stressful. We are thinking of making it a permanent thing to avoid traveling during Christmas, but possibly see family before or after.
