I've got some back blogging to do!  That's what happens when you have a super fun and busy summer.  This is what we were up to in July.

Mia turned 10 months old and started crawling.  Such a cute and fun baby stage.  She loved to be able to get around and discover things on her own. 

We enjoyed the occasional ice cream cone, milk shake, popsicle, slushie, and all things summer and cool.

We also went to our favorite summer spots including the top of the mountain at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.  The views are amazing and awe-inspiring.  I could sit and look around the 360 view forever.

I had to include this shot because I got Teslyn midair on a jump/dance move.  So funny!  She's an energetic little thing.

We like to get a day pass for the chair lift and ride up and down as long as time allows.  We sit back and take in the incredible views and fresh mountain air.  Nick is wearing Mia in the baby carrier so she won't wiggle out because its a long way down!

I would usually try to plan some sort of an event each day to keep the kids busy and me sane, whether it be swimming at the beach, picking blueberries, going for a scooter ride or hike or even cleaning the house.  When we didn't have something else planned we had an "explore a new place" day.  That was one of my favorite things to do.  I love driving down roads I have never been on just to see where it takes me.  I usually aim for a park or trail or spot on the lake we haven't seen.  Here we are exploring a dock in Dover on Lake Pend Orielle.

I also made it a point to get outside lots even if we weren't going anywhere.  Sometimes that included a water balloon fight.

We went to the City Beach at least once or twice a week.  That's a given.  We usually picked the warmest day of the week and made plans around that. 

Mia would get excited to see the water and sand each time we arrived to the beach.  She loved it.

This was our setup with the large umbrella for shade.  We usually brought lunch and lots of sand and water toys.  We had to make every minute count between Mia's two naps.

These are the days I long for all winter long.  I know what's coming a few months later so I soak it up.

We also spent a lot of family time picking huckleberries in the evenings and Saturdays with daddy.  We have a stockpile in the freezer to show for it!  Our favorite way to use them are in pancakes, but they are awesome to snack on frozen too.

Huckleberries are a cousin to blueberries.  There are several varieties, but our favorite are the big red ones.  The flavor is amazing.

Here are the kids on one of our exploring days.  They scootered and I jogged with the stroller.  It was blustery but beautiful and refreshing.

This isn't a very good shot but it has my cute girls being silly with Mia in a doll stroller.

Downtime with daddy is also nice.  Downtime quickly escalates into tackle and dog pile time.  Poor daddy rarely gets a break.
