We attempted to check the mail today. When I told Owen the puddle was too big for me to cross, he said he would do it. So we went back home to grab his rain boots.

Here he goes.

This is about when he stopped and started to bawl. It was a strong current, and colder than he thought. He isn't very adventurous, so I was surprised he wanted to attempt. The water was starting to get his pants wet and go in his boots.

He made it across, and it took a while to persuade him to come back through it. There was no other way back. And there was no way I was going to get my shoes wet to get him! Oh, and I didn't even give him the mailbox key because I did this totally for the photo op. I didn't know it was going to be so traumatic.

He reluctantly head back through the puddle. He knew he had to in order to get into the warm car waiting at the other side.

Yes, we have had a lot of rain. It started hailing a little bit as we drove back home too. I will enjoy it while it lasts, because it might not happen again! Ever!

This funkalicious little baby is now 3 months old! We love, love, love her! Owen is always excited to see her in the morning, and always says "baby is a cutie." I love how he calls her "his" baby. So sweet.

It seems like she has favorite toys already. When I put her in her swing, she is usually staring at this green fish. One morning I put her in, she must have been happy to see it because she started smiling at it like she was so excited to see it again!

Another favorite is this yellow flower face, that is on both sides of this toy loop over her bouncy seat. She almost doesn't take her eyes off of it, and smiles at it too.

And this is my husband, who is an excellent cook. I love it when he cooks for me. And he really enjoys cooking when he isn't busy with school or too stressed out with studying. We got back from a weekend with family in St. George today, and he asked me what I wanted him to make for dinner. I told him to make whatever he wanted because I didn't have anything planned, and I wasn't having any luck convincing him to take us out to eat.

He made the most delicious omelets ever! Ham, tomatoes, avocado, cheese, the works. It may not seem that special, but I think it takes skill to make a good omelet. He is also a master of the grill and makes a mean pot roast and gravy. I like him a lot.

Oh, by the way, our 6th year anniversary was 2 weeks ago. There's not a whole lot of celebrating to be done with a new baby around, that goes everywhere I go, but we are making plans. I really like that guy.

A highlight of the trip to Utah was having Teslyn blessed. Nick was able to bless her in his parents home with a few close family members present. It was beautiful and serene. I decided I liked that best, because I was able to stand right by Nick and the circle as she was blessed.

We headed to Utah this year for Christmas again, and it was sooo cold and snowy! But we had a great time with family while we were there. Here is the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve after Santa had come. The balloons burying the presents add to the fun. And there was lots of fun to be had by the 15 kids as soon as they woke up Christmas morning. And craziness.

Owen must have been a good boy, because Santa brought Thomas the Train, among other things.

But before opening his gifts, he had to meticulously lay out the contents of his stocking.

Most of the kids went sledding on this vacant lot across the road.

Owen had fun sledding with his daddy. I had fun being outside only as long as necessary to get a few pictures. I am definitely not used to that cold any more.

Although we had a great time and enjoyed being with family and friends, we came home sick, tired, and worn out. Maybe a quiet Christmas at home will be in order for next year.
