Teslyn turned 3 this month!
Teslyn is a bright, energetic, happy little fireball of a little girl. She is into all little girly things, like princesses and having her finger and toenails painted. But she also loves to play outside in the dirt, and if I can't find her that is where she usually is. She has a bossy streak and thinks she runs this household sometimes. But she can be so cute and funny, we sure love this little girl and are blessed she is in our lives.
I babysat a little baby named Valor and Teslyn absolutely adores him. She was thrilled he was coming over on her birthday. She loves babies!!
It was Teslyn's special day so she got candles in her french toast at breakfast. On a princess plate.
Here she is eating lunch in her birthday crown. I bought it for her to wear on her first birthday, and its become tradition to wear it every year. I think I will force her to wear it every year until she moves out!
Also as tradition here, we let her pick where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner. Big surprise, she picked McDonald's for the happy meal and play place! That helped fill the void of having a real party with friends, which she had been asking and hoping for. We were too busy planning Halloween parties this year. Luckily we ran into people we knew, and she had a blast. You can tell by the way she wouldn't hold still for a picture!
Then back home to open presents. She is being a sweetheart and hugging Owen for the gift he gave her.
Here she is with her line-up. Princess accessories, Cinderella DVD, and lots of little people! She really loves her little people, it's so cute how she plays with them. She sings along with the princesses that sing when you put them in the castle. Adorable.
A busy month/week/day meant a store bought cake. She wouldn't have known the difference. She was just excited that there were princesses on it! And princess rings.
SO excited!
Blowing out her candles. After eating that cake, I vowed to make every possible effort to avoid another store bought cake. Homemade, even from a box, just tastes so much better. But the kids still liked it, of course.
Then she had to try on her princess gear. I love the clip-on earrings! Reminds me of when I was little.
And since my mom asked a while back, here is Teslyn in some of her princess outfits. This is one I got for $1 on a Walmart clearance rack.
She will most likely be wearing this one as Cinderella for Halloween.
And since it's just me and Tes during the day, I tend to get more pictures of her these days. A couple weeks ago it was so beautiful outside we went for a walk, just the two of us. Here she is in one of her own outfits, dancing in the leaves.
She's funny.
The trees in our backyard were such a beautiful vibrant yellow, it made me so happy to look out the window, and made doing dishes a lot easier with that view.
This picture I took on a funny random day. I was running errands and doing some shopping, and in two different stores, employees thought Teslyn was so cute and funny they wanted to give her a balloon. They would disappear in the back and return with a balloon. Twice, in the same day. Two different stores. What are the chances. She was one happy little girl.
