Last week I ran in the Las Vegas Color Run!

It was seriously the most fun I've had running. It is part of a series, meaning they do the same thing in other states and cities. It is a 5k, and each kilometer they throw a different color on you as you run by.

My super fun and talented cousin Marsha invited me to run with her and her friends. I am glad she did! I've heard about this run but didn't think twice until she did. There was a white shirt dress code, and here we are squeaky clean! A bunch of girls in this group also have husbands in dental school, but a few years behind Nick.

The concept of this run is a big photo-op to me, so I ran with my little camera in my hand, safely inside a ziploc bag. I had to snap a picture of the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop as I ran past, because it's famous. Ever heard of Pawn Stars? It's a show on the History channel we used to watch and enjoy, when we had that channel. We've been inside once with some friends from out of town, a neat thing to say you've done I suppose.

Anyway, back to the run! This is what it looks like to approach a color zone, where they throw fistfulls of color at the runners.

Marsha had an awesome friend take some pictures of us with her camera, and here we are sprinting to the finish! We chatted the entire run, so it went by almost too fast for me. It wasn't a timed run, just a run for the fun of getting colored!

This is our after picture. Behind us there is a big dance party going on with fun loud music and lots of color!

It was perfect running weather, probably in the mid 60's that morning. It made me want to get out and do some more runs before the big heat wave called summer arrives!
