Back in business!  November was a great month and flew by so fast.  We did have a little computer trouble though.  Both our laptops crashed and burned, and we were sick of repairing them so we made good use of the Black Friday sales.  

Here is Teslyn at a playgroup where we made yummy caramel apples.

 

 

We also got dumped on thanks to "Winter Storm Brutus."   

Which was really fun for the kids, but also made us realize we were ill-prepared for this climate.  But no longer.  We now own a snow shovel and snow pants in several sizes.

 The crazy kids even wanted to go play in the snow after dark in the super cold weather.  Daddy had made some really fun piles of snow after his shoveling.

Here is Owen trudging his way to school that morning.  We learned that a storm with potential to cancel school in Utah doesn't even make Montanan's bat an eye.  But we were assured that if the temps dropped to 50 below zero, school could possibly be cancelled.  So much to look forward to! ;)

I forgot how pretty fresh snow can be.

Driving downtown, we thought it was really strange how they plow the snow into the middle of the road.  Then we realized it was streets where cars park in front of the shops.  They wouldn't want to get your car stuck in the snow.

Within the next week, temps rose, as well as the wind, and the snow was gone.  Just in time for our drive to Utah for Thanksgiving.  My parents are on a mission in France, so we spent most time with Nick's family.  The morning of Thanksgiving I got to run the Utah Human Race 5k with my awesome sister Virginia.

The weather was perfect for running!  Cool but not freezing.

After the run we found my brother Jon who ran with his daughter in the stroller.  And his high school buddy Renson.

 

Nick and his mom brought the kids in time to see me cross the finish line.  And he tried to get a picture of them in front of this turkey.

 

 Then we headed back to help Nana with Thanksgiving dinner preparations.

We were in town for Teslyn to make it to her friend Keira's birthday party!  They had so much fun and were the cutest little princesses.

Teslyn's and Keira's daddies are good buddies from way back.

I enjoy being home with Teslyn while the boys are at school and work.  She never ceases to amaze me.  She can be so silly, but also very polite.  She says "sorry" and "excuse me" multiple times a day.   She has also formed strange eating habits.  She will eat dinner like a normal person, but she would rather snack through the day than have breakfast or lunch.  This particular morning after making her a pancake for breakfast that she refused to eat, she insisted on bowls of olives, carrots, oranges and peas in pods.  Another favorite is frozen peas.  I am okay with that.  She is learning that I will let her snack whenever she wants, as long as it is healthy food.  She's so funny.
