We just got back from spending some time with family in Utah! Here are a few of the many reasons we love being in Utah:
The mountains!
They are big, beautiful, and green. Can't get enough of them. Especially after being around these dry, red, rocky ones where we are living. They are literally a breath of fresh air.

Then a little hike to Lisa Fall's up Little Cottonwood Canyon. (That's the waterfall there behind Nick on the rock to the right. Little, I know. But a short, kid friendly hike)
Here we are with Grandma and Grandpa (nana & papa) Moore. They joined us in the mountains on the 4th of July. We were with Grandma and Grandpa Jefferies and cousins in the mountains for FHE the Monday before, but forgot to get pictures! We went up American Fork Canyon to make tin foil dinners and roast marshmellows for nutella s'mores. So good!
My parents have the BEST yard, orchard and garden! Owen and cousin Ella were very willing to climb up on the ladder to help grandma pick all these ripe juicy cherries.
Utah rain, thunder and lightening!
We were playing in the park when these dark ominous clouds rolled in. The temperature dropped like 10 degrees, and it felt sooo good! Shortly after we made it back to the house, the rain poured down. These storms leave everything feeling clean, refreshed, green and smells great. (The rain in the desert doesn't really have the same effect, and doesn't happen nearly as often.)

This picture doesn't do it justice, but there was a beautiful full rainbow during sunset. So gorgeous!
We weren't really sure how Owen would handle the fireworks this year. They made him nervous in the past. But he LOVED it, and went wild with them.
We sure love our country, and all the freedoms and blessing we enjoy and take for granted by living here. We are so lucky to be American! Hope everyone had a great Independance Day as well! God bless America!

I'm glad you guys had a great time here. We SO wish we could have seen each other because I don't know when we'll see you again. Hopefully sooner than later. ;-)
There is a beauty that Utah has that you just can't find anywhere else. I'm glad Owen liked fireworks cause Leila has been scared too in years past-I guess they'll get a little braver each year. Your pictures are awesome. What kind of camera do you have?
So thats where you have been, we have been wondering where you and Owen were! Looks like you had an amazing trip, any time spent out of the desert is always nice! Hopefully we see you at playgroup sometime this week!
That looks like you got your taste of real Utah again! Looks fun! Just remember that we get SNOW(yuck) and you don't! The heat will pass!
