The other day, the kids were hanging out playing with toys in front of the tv while I was making dinner. I looked up to see this:

Owen is a sweet brother and loves his sister. He often will sit behind her with his legs around her, just because he likes to hold her.

Well, sometimes I look at them and find something like this:

Don't worry about Teslyn here. She lets me know pretty quick when she doesn't like something that Owen is doing to her. She still had a smile on her face at this point. So I figured it was a good time to grab the camera instead of rescuing the baby. Owen loves having a little person to play with. Even though she doesn't play back yet. I'm telling you, he gets so bored and misses her when she is napping. I have to keep an eye on him so that he doesn't go in and wake her up.

Teslyn is 8 months now. She is just about 20 lbs, and has 2 little teeth on bottom. She is lunging forward to all 4 when she is seated, but that is as close as she has gotten to crawling. She is doing much better with the food now, especially if it is cold. She loves it when I put YoBaby yogurt in a bottle so she can drink it down. She doesn't like the spoon much.

Owen is asking when he can go back to preschool. He isn't getting the big deal about having a summer break. I guess we need to go swimming more!

Have you tried a different spoon? I figured a spoon was a spoon (Preston never cared what the food was on). But Calvin is a little picky--he really likes this one baby spoon we have. The "shovel" part is wide and quite flat and coated in a rubbery stuff.
Glad she's not aerosolizing (is that a word? is now) her food all over you. Although that was pretty much the FUNNIEST video ever! :)

I can't get over how sweet Owen is with his baby sis! It's so adorable and I wish he would teach Nathan how to be so nice! We do need to get them together to play soon! I promise, we will have you guys over ASAP!!
